The Role:
- You will lead the design, development and optimisation of the organisation’s Tableau environment, ensuring best practice and scalability across all BI outputs.
- Lead end to end Tableau development across Desktop, Prep and Cloud.
- Define and implement best practice for dashboard design and data modelling.
- Own BI governance, standards and data quality frameworks.
- Act as the escalation point for complex reporting and data issues.
- Partner closely with data engineering teams on architecture decisions.
- Support and enable business users to build high quality self service dashboards.
- Play a key role in a major migration from on premise data warehouse to Google Cloud Platform.
- Reduce technical debt and improve performance across the existing Tableau estate.
- Contribute to the development of AI enabled and semantic layer driven analytics.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Strong commercial experience with Tableau, including dashboard and data source development.
- Advanced SQL skills across complex queries and data manipulation.
- Experience leading or improving a Tableau or BI environment at scale.
- Ability to implement best practice design and optimise performance.
- Experience working across end to end BI delivery rather than siloed responsibilities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Exposure to cloud environments such as GCP or migration projects is beneficial.
