The Role
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across a range of business domains
- Support and promote data architecture standards across multiple projects
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and governance teams to ensure consistency and quality
- Contribute to the design and evolution of a modern cloud based data platform
- Help transition architectural knowledge from contractor support to an in house capability
- Work across concurrent initiatives, ensuring strong modelling practices are embedded
- Receive mentoring and support to progress into a Data Architect role
Your Skills and Experience
- Strong commercial experience in data modelling within complex environments
- Solid understanding of dimensional modelling approaches such as Kimball or Data Vault
- Experience working in modern cloud environments, ideally within Azure
- Exposure to technologies such as dbt, PySpark, Python, or similar tools
- Experience with data modelling tools is beneficial. Strong preference for Sparx Enterprise Architect, or similar tools such as Visual Paradigm, Archi, Cameo Systems Modeler, or Modelio
- Interest in progressing into Data Architecture and influencing wider data strategy
- Comfortable working with cross functional stakeholders and multiple teams
