A high-growth global fintech platform is building a new AI-powered optimisation product within one of its most commercially important business areas. The business processes hundreds of billions of pounds in annual transaction volume, supports many of the world's largest digital brands, and generates vast volumes of behavioural, transactional and operational data.
The team is tackling a complex operational problem that impacts millions of customer interactions each year. Combining machine learning, LLMs and multimodal AI, they're building a platform that automates traditionally manual decision-making workflows using both structured and unstructured data. With strong executive sponsorship and significant investment behind the initiative, this is an opportunity to shape architecture, influence product direction and build systems from the ground up.
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you'll sit across Data Science, ML Engineering and MLOps, with a particular focus on production ownership. You'll help design, deploy and operate scalable ML systems that directly impact customer outcomes, operational efficiency and revenue performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and operate production ML systems at scale
- Develop robust data pipelines and real-time processing infrastructure
- Train, deploy and monitor machine learning models
- Drive best practices across MLOps, observability and model lifecycle management
- Work with Databricks, AWS and modern ML tooling
- Contribute to LLM and unstructured data-driven workflows
- Deliver greenfield products within a high-ownership engineering environment
Salary: £98,000 base (potential flexibility) + bonus
Working Model: Central London, 3 days onsite per week
