Remote in the UK
Harnham are exclusively partnered with a major UK digital retailer and financial services business to hire a Senior Credit Pricing Manager into a newly created leadership role; this is a rare opportunity to build out a more sophisticated pricing capability in a business with millions of customers, a large-scale credit proposition, and huge investment into analytics, commercial decisioning, and financial services growth.
THE COMPANY
This business is one of the UK’s largest digital retailers and embedded finance providers, operating at serious scale across ecommerce and financial services; with millions of active customers, billions in annual revenue, and a newly strengthened investment position following private equity backing, they are continuing to scale both their commercial and analytics capabilities. Their financial services arm sits at the heart of the customer proposition, offering flexible payment products including instalments, revolving credit, and BNPL-style products; this creates a rich environment for analytics professionals working across pricing, risk, customer lifetime value, and experimentation. This role sits within a newly evolving Commercial Analytics function, where pricing is being elevated from a more traditional credit risk setup into a commercially focused analytics team.
THE ROLE
As Senior Credit Pricing Manager, you’ll lead the build-out of a new credit pricing capability focused on acquisition pricing, customer lifecycle pricing, and broader pricing strategy across multiple lending products. You’ll manage a team of analysts and data scientists while owning pricing strategy across products including revolving credit, instalments, and embedded finance solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining pricing strategies across lending products, balancing profitability, customer outcomes, and regulation
- Owning fair value governance and representing pricing in senior forums and committees
- Setting valuation methodologies including NPV, IRR, and risk-adjusted margin frameworks
- Designing and interpreting A/B tests to assess pricing changes and elasticity
- Driving commercial decisions around lifetime value, unit economics, and pricing optimisation
- Partnering with analytics, product, compliance, engineering, and credit risk stakeholders
- Building a more advanced, commercially driven pricing function within financial services
This is a highly strategic role with strong visibility across senior leadership.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience within credit pricing, lending analytics, credit risk, insurance pricing, or adjacent FS pricing environments
- Deep understanding of credit economics, unit economics, and customer lifetime value decisioning
- Experience using experimentation / A/B testing frameworks to inform pricing decisions
- Knowledge of complex financial products including revolving credit, instalments, cards, or embedded finance
- Prior management or leadership experience
- Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have:
- SQL / Python knowledge (not essential to be hands-on)
- Experience in model governance, forecasting, or cashflow modelling
- Background in fintech, insurance, debt purchasing, or regulated financial services
THE BENEFITS
£80,000-£90,000
20% annual bonus
£6,500 flexible benefits allowance (can be used towards salary uplift or benefits)
30 days holiday + bank holidays
