The Company
A global consultancy specialising in media and marketing analytics, supporting some of the world’s biggest brands with data-driven decision-making. They provide advanced solutions in areas such as marketing mix modelling, brand equity, and geotesting, helping clients optimise spend and demonstrate return on investment. With offices across Europe and a collaborative culture, you’ll be joining a highly respected team that blends technical rigour with commercial impact.
The Role
Due to sustained client demand and new account wins, the business is expanding its econometrics and marketing effectiveness team. They are seeking Marketing Mix Modelling Consultants at Analyst, Consultant, and Senior Consultant levels. These roles focus on building and interpreting econometric models, extracting insights, and presenting recommendations to clients.
Unlike traditional data science roles, this work is less about heavy coding and more about applying statistical and econometric methods to real-world marketing challenges. You’ll work directly with client stakeholders, ensuring outputs are clear, actionable, and business-focused.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong MMM experience who wants to play a central role in delivering high-profile projects while developing their career in a structured, global consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build econometric models to measure the impact of marketing activity and identify drivers of performance.
- Interpret model outputs and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
- Manage and analyse datasets, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Deliver presentations and reports to client stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Support the design of geotests and other advanced measurement approaches.
- Work closely with senior team members on project scoping, delivery, and client management.
- Mentor junior analysts (at Consultant and Senior Consultant levels).
- Contribute to thought leadership, best practice development, and continuous improvement within the team.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven agency-side experience in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) – client-side only experience is not sufficient.
- Hands-on experience building and interpreting econometric models.
- Strong ability to communicate complex outputs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Excel and an understanding of statistical modelling approaches.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with R (models run on Excel front-end with R syntax, though coding is not a core requirement).
- Broader exposure to analytics or econometrics beyond MMM (e.g., brand equity, testing, forecasting).
- Experience mentoring or line-managing junior team members.
Levels & Salary Bands
- Senior Analyst (2 years’ experience) – up to £45,000
- Consultant (3–4 years’ experience) – up to £55,000
- Senior Consultant (4+ years’ experience) – £55,000–£60,000
Team & Culture
- Approximately 70 staff across offices in London, Paris, and Madrid.
- Structured into sub-teams of 15–20 people, offering opportunities for peer learning and collaboration.
- Consultants report into an Account Director, with the potential to line manage graduates as part of career development.
- Supportive environment with a mix of technical specialists and client-facing consultants.
Interview Process
- Stage 1: 30-minute conversation with the Hiring Manager (experience, CV review, role overview).
- Stage 2: Dataset exercise and presentation (focus on both analysis and presentation style; the dataset includes subtle “easter eggs” to test attention to detail).
- Stage 3: Final interview with senior stakeholders.
