A leading player in the MedTech insights space is looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Market Insights Lead to take ownership of a growing team and product suite. If you’re passionate about data, health innovation, and market intelligence – this could be your next step. This business sits at the intersection of research, publishing, and world-class conferences in the medical device space. Their insights arm functions as a niche internal consultancy, supporting global MedTech businesses with market tracking, quantitative and qualitative research, and strategic analysis.

The Role

This is a leadership role with a strong operational focus. You’ll oversee a small, talented insights team while staying close to the delivery of projects across market sizing, trackers, and custom research. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the full research function, setting direction while remaining hands-on in project delivery
  • Managing a mix of syndicated trackers and bespoke quant/qual studies (online surveys, interviews, procedural data)
  • Leading client relationships and ensuring insights are commercial, clear, and actionable
  • Designing and implementing research frameworks – from questionnaire design to fieldwork, analysis, and final reporting
  • Managing and mentoring a team (currently five in London and several remote/freelance contributors)
  • Identifying opportunities to grow and improve the insights offering

About You

You’ll bring a solid foundation in market research – ideally within healthcare, MedTech, pharma or life sciences – and thrive in environments where autonomy, variety, and team leadership are key. We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Confidently run and deliver complex quant-led research projects, with a strong grasp of qual methods
  • Communicate insights clearly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage and develop a team with empathy and direction
  • Operate with a hands-on mentality – comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working on all parts of a project
  • Bring strong working knowledge of tools like Excel, SPSS, Power BI or Qualtrics

This is an opportunity to shape and grow an already successful research function while working closely with senior leadership in a business that operates like a small agency with the benefits of a wider support network. If you’re looking for a role that blends strategy with delivery and want to make a real commercial impact in the MedTech space, please send your CV to or through the Apply link on this page.
