The Role
As SEO Manager, you will lead organic performance for a major retail website, working hands‑on across technical SEO, content and site optimisation. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, improving site health and driving measurable commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and driving SEO performance across visibility, traffic and revenue
- Building and delivering the SEO strategy across technical, content and on‑site optimisation
- Conducting keyword research and performance analysis to uncover opportunities
- Managing technical SEO tasks including crawling, indexing and site health reviews
- Working closely with commercial, trading and buying teams to support wider business goals
- Managing agency partners to deliver successful SEO initiatives
- Reporting on performance and presenting insights to stakeholders
Your Skills and Experience
- Strong commercial experience in SEO, either in‑house (preferably retail) or agency
- Confident working in a high‑autonomy, fast‑paced environment
- Hands‑on capability across technical and content SEO
- Strong stakeholder skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- Experience using Screaming Frog is essential, with working knowledge of GSC and GA4
- Experience with keyword tracking or enterprise tools is beneficial
