A large, tech-led organisation is looking to bring in a Technical Programme Manager on a 12-month contract to lead some of its most strategic and high-impact transformation programmes. This role sits at the heart of the business, owning complex initiatives that span technology, data, finance, security and product. Itβs not a delivery-by-numbers role - the focus is on driving meaningful change, simplifying the technology landscape, and helping the organisation operate more efficiently, securely and at scale.
THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the end-to-end delivery of critical technical transformation programmes, from early discovery through to execution and evaluation.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning product, engineering, data, finance and wider business teams.
- Drive transformation across areas such as systems consolidation, tooling optimisation and data pipeline improvement.
- Act as the central point of coordination across multiple workstreams, managing dependencies, risks and priorities.
- Communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Evaluate tools and approaches, making evidence-based recommendations that balance innovation with stability.
- Set clear goals and delivery structure, while remaining adaptable in a fast-moving environment.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as a Technical Programme Manager or Project Manager in a tech-led or digital environment.
- Strong track record delivering large, cross-functional transformation programmes.
- Experience with systems consolidation, platform optimisation or similar technology change initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Confident influencing senior leaders and driving alignment across teams.
- Experience working in Agile or modern delivery environments.
- Solid understanding of software development workflows, data platforms and monitoring tools.
- Curiosity around AI and emerging technologies, and how they can improve efficiency and ways of working.
- Analytical, evidence-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
