Hybrid - 2-3 days a week in office (London, Liverpool Street). Join a high-growth UK banking business supporting 200+ fintech partners through Banking-as-a-Service infrastructure. This is a key role in building a modern, automated IT function with strong operational resilience as the UK organisation scales rapidly.
The role:
- As Lead IT Systems Administrator, you will take full ownership of internal IT systems and the Atlassian environment, with a strong focus on automation, access management, incident processes, and SSO.
- You will lead a small SysAdmin team and work closely with Engineering and SRE.
What you will do:
- Own Atlassian Cloud / Jira Service Management (workflows, rules, automations).
- Design and improve incident management + alerting processes in JSM.
- Automate joiner/mover/leaver workflows (JSM + Entra ID).
- Build automated access audits, reviews, and recertification.
- Create reporting/dashboards for CIO + Board.
- Drive improvements in operational resilience and IT processes.
What we are looking for:
- Strong hands-on Atlassian/JSM knowledge (beyond admin basics).
- Proven experience building automation from scratch.
- Proactive, high-ownership operator with strong communication skills.
- Comfortable in scale-up and/or regulated environments.
- In-person technical (JSM rules/automation + Atlassian).
