The Role
- Lead the design and delivery of end to end BI solutions within a small analytics squad.
- Build, maintain and optimise Power BI solutions, covering data modelling, DAX and semantic layers.
- Design robust data models using star schema principles and well managed relationships.
- Own performance tuning across Power BI models and reports to ensure scalability and usability.
- Partner closely with data engineering and analytics to shape high quality, reliable datasets.
- Translate business requirements into clear, maintainable BI solutions that balance usability and technical rigour.
- Ensure strong data quality through testing, validation and clear documentation.
- Contribute to the evolution of BI standards, tooling and architecture as the data platform matures.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience using SQL for data transformation and analytical development.
- Advanced Power BI capability, including end to end build experience from data model to final dashboard.
- Strong data modelling skills, including star schema design and relationship management.
- Deep experience with DAX, including measures and calculated columns.
- Proven experience in performance tuning and optimisation of Power BI models and reports.
- Experience working closely with data engineering and analytics teams in a product focused environment.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of data visualisation and UX best practice within BI is beneficial.
