HYBRID (2 DAYS PER WEEK IN THE OFFICE - LONDON) 6 MONTH CONTRACT
THE COMPANY: Join an organisation undergoing significant data transformation, with data governance positioned as a core pillar of its strategy as an Information Governance Officer.
THE ROLE: The Information Governance Officer role supports the design and implementation of a practical, fit-for-purpose data governance framework. You will work across multiple data projects, helping to map complex data flows, define governance standards, and ensure compliance as new digital platforms and data services are rolled out. The role requires someone who can operate strategically while also delivering at pace.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mapping the end-to-end data ecosystem across multiple teams and organisations
- Designing and embedding a data governance framework
- Supporting delivery of a secure, centralised digital data platform
- Advising on and completing DSARs and DPIAs
- Defining data ownership, access, and data flow models
- Working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to educate teams on governance best practice
- Ensuring governance is embedded into project and product design
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong experience in Information Governance, both advisory and hands-on
- Proven background working across complex, multi-organisation or Pan-London environments
- Solid understanding of DSARs, DPIAs, and wider data protection requirements
- Experience mapping data flows and complex data ecosystems
- Ability to design and implement data governance frameworks in delivery-focused environments
- Confident working with a range of stakeholders, including technical teams and senior leaders
- Pragmatic, personable approach
