Overview
Senior, hands-on data leadership role focused on delivery, prioritisation, and execution across a small data function. The remit spans data literacy and data integrity, ensuring data is fit for purpose and the business is equipped to use it effectively.
Location & Contract
- Location: Coventry / Slough / London (London preferred) - 3 days per week onsite
- Contract: 6 months | IR35: Inside
- Rate: £400-£550pd
- Start: ASAP (max 2 weeks' notice)
Role Focus
- 50% Data Literacy - owning and delivering organisation-wide data literacy programmes.
- 50% of projects such as Data Integrity - supporting asset data and data quality initiatives, driving practical business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and prioritise multiple data workstreams.
- Own delivery approach and execution against an existing data plan.
- Manage and support a small data team (including Power BI / Excel reporting).
- Design and deliver data literacy content, training, and materials.
- Coordinate data integrity initiatives and manage delivery partners.
- Act as a strong communicator and storyteller with senior stakeholders.
- Use AI tools where helpful (no prior experience required).
Requirements
- Experience leading data literacy / enablement programmes.
- Strong understanding of data governance, reporting, and analytics.
- Proven delivery of data quality or data integrity initiatives.
- Confident leader with strong stakeholder and communication skills.
- Comfortable operating hands-on in a small, agile team.
