Are you an experienced Data Scientist who enjoys combining technical expertise with leadership and client engagement?

We're partnering with an innovative, AI-driven technology business that helps large organisations make smarter decisions through advanced analytics, machine learning and data science. With a growing client base across multiple industries, they are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to play a key role in shaping the future of their Data Science function.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a growing team while remaining hands‑on with the delivery of high‑impact machine learning and analytics projects. You'll work closely with technical, commercial and leadership teams to drive measurable outcomes for enterprise customers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and developing a high-performing Data Science team
  • Managing and mentoring a team of Data Scientists while remaining technically involved
  • Delivering projects across forecasting, propensity modelling, customer segmentation and machine learning
  • Working closely with Product, Engineering and commercial stakeholders to solve complex business challenges
  • Supporting model deployment, productionisation and MLOps best practices
  • Presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients
  • Helping shape the strategic direction of the Data Science capability as the business continues to grow

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Lead Data Scientist, Principal Data Scientist, Data Science Manager, or Senior Data Scientist with leadership responsibilities
  • Strong Python and SQL skills
  • Expertise in forecasting, segmentation, propensity modelling and machine learning techniques
  • Experience deploying models into production environments
  • Strong client‑facing, consulting or professional services experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear commercial value
