HYBRID (2 DAYS PER WEEK IN THE OFFICE - HERTFORDSHIRE) 3 MONTH CONTRACT

THE COMPANY: Join a consultancy who works heavily with geospatial, demographic, mobility, and sales datasets to support strategic projects for their clients.

THE ROLE: As a Lead Data Consultant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and mentoring two junior Data Engineers
  • Gathering client requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Working with geospatial, demographic, mobility, POI, and sales datasets
  • Advising on cloud-based data warehouse architecture and secure data storage
  • Creating insights and presenting findings to clients
  • Setting up collaborative analytical environments with version-controlled and peer-reviewed code
  • Developing and deploying dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Building strong client relationships and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within a data analytics consultancy environment
  • Strong Python experience for large-scale data analysis
  • Experience working with geospatial and demographic datasets
  • Exposure to data architecture and cloud-based data warehousing
  • Experience using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
  • The ability to explain analytical logic and technical outputs to non-technical audiences
  • Any experience within retail, category management, or petrol/fuel analytics would be highly beneficial.
