I'm working with a fast-growing UK bank with a strong heritage and a modern vision. They're looking for a Lead IT System Administrator to take ownership of their UK IT environment and help them scale. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage one system administrator initially, with plans to grow the team.
You’ll work closely with platform engineering and DevOps teams, driving automation and improving processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage IT system administration for UK operations.
- Oversee initial IT setups, SaaS systems, and incident management processes.
- Drive automation of manual processes and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on cloud and platform projects (Atlassian, Rovo AI).
- Provide stakeholder management, take full ownership, and proactively identify improvements.
- Mentor and guide team members as the function scales.
- Core: Python, PowerShell, M365, Salesforce.
- Cloud/Platform: Atlassian suite, SaaS systems.
- Desirable: ServiceNow, familiarity with SDLC.
- Strong understanding of incident management and regulated environments (nice to have).
