HEAD OF DATA & ANALYTICS
LONDON – HYBRID (4 DAYS PER WEEK IN OFFICE)
SALARY – £120,000
THE COMPANY
A world-renowned football club with a global fanbase and a growing commercial and digital footprint is expanding its data function to better understand, engage, and serve supporters worldwide!
THE ROLE
This senior position will lead the club’s central data function, overseeing fan data strategy, infrastructure, and analytics capability. You’ll be responsible for shaping how the club captures, governs, and activates data to inform strategic decision-making across every part of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and evolve the club’s fan data strategy in line with commercial objectives.
- Oversee the centralised data platform (GCP), integrating data from ticketing, merchandising, hospitality, and digital sources.
- Ensure data governance and compliance frameworks are maintained across all systems.
- Build and standardise reporting and KPIs using Power BI and Omni.
- Deploy predictive analytics and machine learning models (e.g. CLV, propensity scoring).
- Support major transformation projects, including:
- Finance ERP system integration
- Fan engagement enhancement via CDP
- Club-wide reporting rollout
- F&B and digital journey optimisation initiatives
- Act as SME on data infrastructure design and cross-functional collaboration.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience leading data strategy and platform development within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong technical grounding across:
- GCP
- SQL and Python
- Power BI or Omni
- DBT and Docker (preferred)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with web and app event tracking, and delivering predictive analytics projects.
- Leadership background with experience growing and managing data teams.
