Associate Director – Leading AI, Machine Learning & Engineering at Harnham
Harnham is working exclusively with a prestigious private equity firm in London who are building a data function in London to support the internal deal team with the use of sophisticated data science and analytics.
You will join a small team and help build the foundations for the company’s data initiative for the coming years.
You will be expected to help build the data platform being used by the investment team, as well as work on ad-hoc strategic projects to identify investment opportunities for the business.
The Role – Data Science Analyst
You will be:
- Working alongside the deal team to identify where data science and advanced analytics can have a positive impact on the investment process
- Helping to create internal data tools and products to support data-driven investment decisions
- Carrying out due diligence as part of the investment process
- Exploring how Generative AI techniques can benefit the organisation
Experience – Data Science Analyst
You will have:
- An M.Sc. or Ph.D. in: STEM (e.g. Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering)
- Experience using Python is a must
- Experience of data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
- A strong knowledge of statistical/machine learning models applied to real-world problems
- A keen interest in problem-solving and using data, analytics and AI to solve investment problems is important
- A focus on using data science to create value is essential
- A strong interest in working alongside both technical and non-technical people
