A growing unsecured consumer lender has a new growth role in the collections department that will hopefully be leading to progressing to a head of role for the successful candidate.
THE COMPANY
This unsecured personal lender who operate through aggregator sites need a collections lead to drive strategy forward on the collections operations and risk strategy front. They provide flexible remote working arrangements, a car allowance and strong bonus & pension.
THE ROLE
You can expect to be involved in the following day to day:
- Champion customer outcomes by evolving approach to vulnerable customers and forbearance
- Lead and inspire both internal teams and external partners, holding accountability for productivity, quality, service delivery, and cost efficiency
- Design and execute a forward-thinking strategy for collections and recoveries that aligns with broader business goals and supports scalable growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure a cohesive and integrated collections approach
- Drive data-led initiatives to enhance performance across the collections and recoveries lifecycle
- Harness technology and innovation to improve customer experience, accessibility, and financial inclusion
- Ensure regulatory compliance across all collections activities, proactively managing risk and resolving any compliance concerns
- Streamline operations by optimising workflows and leveraging automation to reduce manual processes and boost efficiency
- Deliver clear, actionable reporting on key metrics, identifying trends and implementing targeted improvements
- Set and monitor strategic goals in partnership with senior leadership to reduce delinquency, minimise losses, and maximise recovery rates
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of collections experience within consumer lending
- Experience with SQL
- Good communication skills
- Strong stakeholder abilities
