THE ROLE
You can expect to be involved in the following day-to-day:
- Produce regular reports for senior stakeholders, providing insight into current and projected claims indemnity performance to support monthly and quarterly executive updates.
- Analyse trends, anomalies, and opportunities in claims performance aligned with executive priorities.
- Develop and maintain robust data models (primarily using SAS), leveraging multiple data sources to deliver actionable insights across key performance metrics.
- Partner with operational teams to identify and implement initiatives that improve indemnity outcomes, ensuring follow-through to execution.
- Mentor and support junior analysts, with a focus on enhancing their technical capabilities, particularly in SAS.
- Work closely with Finance to monitor and demonstrate realised benefits across cost, income, and indemnity performance.
- Liaise with external benchmarking providers to supply accurate, detailed data for ongoing comparison against market standards and to inform internal performance indicators.
- Assist with modelling and forecasting the impact of internal and external factors on claims inflation.
- Represent the Claims Insight Manager in key meetings with stakeholders.
- Contribute to wider Performance team initiatives, applying skills flexibly to meet evolving business requirements.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience with data analysis using SAS or SQL.
- Previous experience using data and insights to understand claims performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree in a STEM subject.
