The role will provide full study support toward a professional accounting qualification, alongside hands-on experience across multiple areas of the finance function.

What makes this opportunity different is the exposure you will gain beyond traditional finance responsibilities. Alongside developing core accounting skills, you will be encouraged to identify opportunities to improve and automate processes across the team, with additional training and exposure provided in tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau. This role will suit someone who is naturally curious, proactive, technically minded, and excited by the idea of improving how things are done, not just following process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initially, you will support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Management Accounts, learning the fundamentals of finance operations while supporting the wider team.
  • Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Assisting with management accounts and month-end tasks
  • Helping maintain accurate financial records and reporting
  • Producing and handling reports using Excel
  • Supporting the wider finance team with administrative and operational tasks
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and automate existing processes
  • Learning different areas of the finance function over time, including payroll support and consolidations
  • Developing strong technical and analytical skills through internal training and qualification support

Over time, the goal is for this person to become a well-rounded finance professional with exposure across the wider finance team.

Person Specification:

We are open to a range of backgrounds, but we are specifically looking for someone with a genuine interest in building a career in accounting and finance. You may be:

  • A finance or accounting graduate
  • Someone early in your career looking to build a long-term future in accounting and finance through professional qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is highly motivated to pursue an accounting qualification
  • Has strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Enjoys solving problems and improving processes
  • Is proactive and comfortable suggesting improvements
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Learns quickly and enjoys figuring things out independently
  • Has an interest in reporting, automation, or learning new technical skills

An interest in reporting, automation, or data tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau would be beneficial, but no prior experience is required.

Training & Development:

We are committed to investing in the successful candidate long term and will provide:

  • Fully funded accounting qualification support
  • Exam and membership fees covered
  • Exposure across the wider finance team
  • Training in Excel, reporting, and data tooling
  • Ongoing mentorship and development from experienced finance leaders
  • Long-term progression opportunities within the business

What We Offer:

Alongside the role itself, you’ll also get access to a great range of group benefits, including:

  • Free snacks and drinks in the office
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • Monthly wellbeing allowance
  • Free gym membership after 6 months
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • A 4pm finish on Fridays year-round
  • And many more
