BI ANALYST (12 MONTH FTC)

LONDON/HYBRID

UP TO £56,000

This is a highly visible Data & Business Intelligence Analyst role within a purpose-led, data-driven organisation. It offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of business and technology, helping shape how data is governed, structured, and used to support critical decision-making and regulatory reporting.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The BI Analyst will:

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements across multiple teams
  • Build dashboards and reports using Power BI to support internal and external reporting needs
  • Deliver datasets and analytical outputs to support decision-making and regulatory reporting
  • Support data governance activities, including data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata management
  • Lead and contribute to data modelling initiatives, including current and future-state models
  • Collaborate with Data Stewards and Data Owners to improve data quality and resolve issues
  • Support ETL, data migration, mapping, and data cleansing activities
  • Conduct testing, quality assurance, and User Acceptance Testing to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Contribute to wider transformation programmes and continuous improvement across data processes

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational data
  • Experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI, including use of DAX
  • Solid understanding of data modelling principles such as star and snowflake schema
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration
  • Strong experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders to improve reporting and data quality
  • Experience developing and maintaining data governance artefacts such as data dictionaries and business glossaries
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality
