Interim Brand & Communications Director (3-Month Contract)
Start Date: Ideally w/c 20 May
Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite in Leicestershire
Day Rate: £550-£650 per day (inside IR35)

A leading consumer brand is seeking an experienced Interim Brand & Communications Director to bridge a short-term leadership gap within its marketing team. Following a recent restructure and the development of a strong growth marketing function, the brand and comms team is now being built out separately. With a new CMO joining in June and the current interim director stepping into a permanent role elsewhere, this contractor will provide crucial leadership and continuity during the handover and onboarding period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a junior marketing team (currently 2 contractors and 1 permanent staff)
- Execute against an already-defined brand and comms strategy
- Offer hands-on leadership across brand, comms, and social media channels
- Help recruit and onboard 3 permanent hires (Brand & Campaigns, Content & PR, Community Manager)
- Elevate current campaign delivery through a test-and-learn, data-driven approach
