A major UK training provider, the second largest in learner numbers and revenue, is seeking a Senior BI Insights Analyst for a remote role based in Bristol. This position involves end-to-end BI project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and operational support.
The company is undergoing a digital data transformation, consolidating systems and standardising platforms such as learning management, Salesforce, and payroll. They are investing in data infrastructure and insight capabilities to enhance strategic operational decision-making.
The Data Automation team, reporting to the BI Manager, consists of a small but impactful group that supports data-driven decision-making. The team includes the Head of Data AI, the BI Manager, two Senior BI Analysts, and a future Data Engineer.
Role:
- Hands-on end-to-end BI
- Balance project work with day-to-day reporting and insight delivery
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Manage BI support tickets and troubleshoot access rights
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, prototype, test, and deliver insights
- Participate in executive discussions and present insights
- Support data capabilities, data modelling, and reporting
- Ensure reports are accurate, relevant, and aligned with business needs
- Contribute to data-driven decision-making regarding sales, learner outcomes, and efficiency
The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the ability to switch tasks and balance projects and requests from multiple stakeholders.
Skills:
- Power BI report development and dashboard creation
- Strong SQL, ETL processes, and data pipelines
- Data modelling and Power BI DAX
- Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, and Power Apps
- End-to-end BI lifecycle from requirements to insights
- Senior stakeholder engagement and translating business problems into data solutions
- Experience in fast-paced, complex environments (minimum 3 years, 5+ preferred)
Nice to have:
- Experience in the education or apprenticeship sector
- Knowledge of Python and modern platforms such as Fabric and Databricks
- Understanding of data architecture, governance, and pipeline design
Focus:
- Unified data platform development, consolidating data from multiple locations and unstructured sources into a single scalable platform
- Defining data requirements for reporting and supporting automation architecture
- Shaping data to drive performance decisions and experimenting with Fabric
Salary: £50K base, no bonus. Remote role with a small high-impact team focused on shaping a unified platform for digital transformation across the group.

- Stage 2: 45 minutes with the BI Manager (stakeholder question-based, no task unless needed)
