An exciting opportunity has arisen for a BI Developer to join a growing data consultancy on a fixed-term contract. They work with complex data environments, supporting clients with data integration, business intelligence, and data platform development.
The Role
- As a BI Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions across a range of client projects.
- Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines and data integration processes
- Writing, optimising, and troubleshooting complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures
- Building and enhancing semantic and tabular data models
- Supporting SSAS cube development and DAX calculations
- Collaborating with business and data analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Investigating data issues and supporting users with technical queries
- Contributing to testing, quality assurance, and solution design activities
- Working within a consultancy environment where priorities and requirements can evolve
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with SQL Server and T-SQL development
- Experience building and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling
- Experience working with semantic models, tabular models, star schemas, Kimball methodologies, or similar data modelling approaches
- Exposure to SSAS, DAX, and BI solution development
- Experience working across different data architectures and technology environments
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Python development or scripting experience
- Consultancy or client-facing project delivery experience
