A well-established digital performance marketing agency is looking for a Digital Analytics Consultant to join their growing Data & Insights team; this is a hands-on role focused on tracking implementation, measurement frameworks and client-facing analytics, supporting a portfolio of high-profile digital clients!
This award-winning digital marketing agency has been operating since the early 2010s and partners with a broad range of well-known brands across sectors including travel, retail and technology; they specialise in performance marketing and digital growth, delivering services across SEO, PPC, Social, Content, Digital PR and Data. With around 50 clients across the portfolio, the business prides itself on delivering measurable impact through data-driven strategies; the Data function works closely with Account Managers and channel specialists to ensure robust measurement, accurate tracking and clear insight into marketing performance.
As Digital Analytics Consultant, you will join a small but growing data team and report into the Associate Director of Data & Insights. This is a hands-on technical role, with the majority of your time focused on tagging, tracking implementation and measurement frameworks across client websites. Some clients operate large digital estates, sometimes hundreds of websites, so you will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, scalable tracking and reliable reporting infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and managing tracking frameworks across client websites
- Working heavily with Google Tag Manager (including server-side tagging)
- Managing and troubleshooting GA4 implementations
- Conducting data audits and tagging reviews
- Building dashboards and reports in Looker / data visualisation platforms
- Supporting BigQuery setups and SQL-based analysis
- Advising clients on measurement strategy and what data to track
- Translating data into clear recommendations for optimisation
- Supporting teams on CRO, UX measurement and experimentation frameworks
The role is roughly structured as:
- ~65% implementation & tracking
- ~20–30% measurement strategy
- ~10–15% analysis & insight
This is a fast-paced agency environment where you will work across multiple clients and collaborate closely with digital marketing specialists.
Your Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will come from a digital marketing or performance marketing agency environment and be comfortable managing multiple client implementations.
Key requirements include:
- Strong experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager
- Experience implementing tracking and tagging frameworks
- Familiarity with server-side tagging (preferred)
- Experience with Looker, Tableau, Power BI or similar BI tools
- Exposure to SQL and BigQuery (desirable)
- Understanding of digital marketing channels and attribution
- Experience supporting CRO or UX measurement frameworks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-client agency environment
- Strong communication skills are essential, as you will often be consulting clients on what data means and what they should measure next.
The Benefits £40,000-£50,000
