The Opportunity

We are looking for an Azure Cloud Analyst to join an established Bank on an initial 6 Month Contract. This role will be joining the bank as it starts a large scale cloud migration project, where you will be working alongside Data Experts, helping migrate to the cloud for the first time. You will be working in an Azure environment, and delivering data driven insights to internal teams. The ideal person will come from a background in SQL, Data Analysis, and strong in several Azure products; further programming skills in R/Python will be beneficial.

Key Duties:

  • Supporting the Data Engineer in the building of Azure Cloud
  • Building PowerBI dashboards within Azure Cloud
  • Cleaning, wrangling and summarising large and complex data sets
  • Identifying trends and communicating insights from data
  • Working collaboratively with other data analysts in the team and sharing knowledge
  • Writing SQL queries
  • Building ETLs

Key Skills:

  • Minimum intermediate SQL skills
  • Experience in producing quantitative reports or business intelligence
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, formula functions)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • High levels of concentration and attention to detail
  • Able to identify patterns in data
  • Introductory R or Python
  • Microsoft Azure products
