A large, data-rich retail environment is looking to appoint an Analytics Manager into its Supply Chain and Logistics function. This is a leadership role with real ownership. You’ll sit at the centre of a complex operational area, leading a small analytics team while acting as the senior analytics partner to stakeholders across supply chain and logistics. The focus is on delivering trusted reporting, actionable insight, and strong data standards that support both day-to-day operations and longer-term planning.
The role:
- Lead and develop a team of 2–3 BI specialists
- Own the delivery of dashboards and insight across supply chain and logistics
- Act as the primary analytics contact for senior operational stakeholders
- Manage incoming demand, prioritising requests and balancing short-term needs with strategic work
- Ensure high standards around data quality, governance, and analytical best practice
- Set expectations around coding standards, documentation, and reproducibility
- Use historical data to support forecasting, planning, and operational decision making
- Contribute to more advanced analytics initiatives where appropriate
Your skills and experience:
- Experience leading or mentoring analytics or BI teams
- Strong SQL
- Experience in cloud warehouses such as Snowflake
- Solid Power BI experience for dashboarding and reporting
- Supply Chain Analytics experience
- Retail experience beneficial
- Background working in large-scale, data-rich environments
- Exposure to supply chain or logistics is beneficial but not essential
