Principal, Credit Risk Analytics

An excellent opportunity for a senior Credit Risk Analytics professional to take ownership of complex consulting engagements across the UK lending market. You will combine technical credit risk expertise with project leadership, client management, and commercial responsibility.

Their team combines advanced credit risk analytics with commercial advisory expertise. This role offers significant scope to influence both client outcomes and the development of the consulting practice.
The Role
You will:
- Lead multiple credit risk and analytics engagements across consumer and SME lending.
- Own projects from scoping and methodology through to final client delivery.
- Lead analytical teams while remaining close to the technical work.
- Gain exposure across a number of projects, including scorecard modelling, forecasting, portfolio analytics, and credit strategy.
- Build and manage senior client relationships.
- Translate complex analysis into clear commercial recommendations.
- Mentor team members and strengthen technical and delivery capability.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong UK consumer or SME credit risk analytics experience.
- Extensive knowledge of lending portfolio and customer behaviour analysis.
- Expertise across relevant areas such as scorecards, machine learning, forecasting, strategy development, provisioning, or capital modelling.
- Experience leading analytical teams and delivering complex projects.
- Advanced Python, SAS, or SQL capability, with Python highly desirable.
- Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Consultancy experience would be advantageous.
- A 2:1 or above in a numerate degree.
