THE COMPANY: This is one of the UK's largest retail groups, spanning major high-street and lifestyle brands. THE ROLE: You will take ownership of designing and delivering backend services within a modern MACH-based digital platform (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-Native and Headless). Working closely with product, frontend and platform teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing and maintaining scalable microservices using TypeScript and Node.js
- Building and supporting GraphQL and REST APIs for internal and external integrations
- Translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, architecture and documentation
- Championing code quality, automation, CI/CD and DevOps best practices across the team
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: You will bring strong capability in:
- TypeScript and Node.js development
- Microservices-based architectures
- GraphQL and REST API design
- Working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Modern software development practices, including CI/CD, testing and automation
