A leading enterprise organisation is looking for a Senior GenAI Developer to join a customer-focused AI and data science team, helping to design, build and operate production-grade GenAI applications at scale. This is not a proof-of-concept role. You will be responsible for delivering secure, resilient and scalable AI-enabled applications that consume standardised GenAI services, including LLMs, RAG, summarisation and extraction capabilities. You will work closely with GenAI Engineers, Platform Engineers, Product, Architecture and Business Delivery teams to turn business problems into robust AI-powered applications.

The role would suit a strong software engineer with hands-on experience building cloud-native applications, embedding AI capabilities into production systems, and taking ownership across the full delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:
  • Design, build and maintain AI-enabled applications using enterprise GenAI services
  • Develop production-grade microservices and/or full-stack applications
  • Integrate LLM, RAG, summarisation and extraction services into secure, scalable applications
  • Own end-to-end delivery, including development, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and incident resolution
  • Build API-led, cloud-native solutions with strong engineering standards
  • Implement observability, logging, metrics and alerting for live production workloads
  • Work closely with product, platform, architecture and business teams to deliver high-impact AI applications
  • Ensure applications meet non-functional requirements around security, scalability, resiliency, performance and cost
Essential skills:
  • Strong software engineering background with experience delivering complex distributed systems
  • Proven experience building and deploying production-grade applications that embed AI capabilities
  • Strong Python experience
  • Experience with LangGraph, Strands and DeepEval
  • Strong AWS experience, ideally including Lambda, Fargate/ECS, ECR, Bedrock, S3 and RDS/Postgres
  • Experience integrating applications via APIs, including REST and async/event-driven patterns
  • Docker and Kubernetes/EKS experience
  • Experience operating applications in cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of security, resiliency, scalability, performance and observability
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and/or Datadog
  • Experience with testing strategy and LLM evaluation
Nice to have:
  • React, Next.js and TypeScript experience
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled user experiences, such as chat-based interfaces or intelligent workflows
  • Familiarity with GenAI concepts, including LLMs, RAG patterns, prompt-driven workflows and AI service orchestration

This is an opportunity to join a mature AI function delivering real GenAI applications into production, working on enterprise-scale use cases with strong platform, engineering and governance support.
