I'm working with a global consulting firm that is seeking a Data Engineer to support their evolving data infrastructure and drive operational excellence. This role plays a vital part in the day-to-day operations of the business and presents a strong opportunity to make a real impact by solving complex data challenges, contributing to cross-functional projects, and improving key data systems.

As a core member of the data team, you'll focus on building robust data pipelines, resolving data issues, and collaborating with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to support both operational and analytical workflows

  • Ensure data integrity and reliability by applying best practices in validation and quality assurance

  • Investigate and resolve data issues as they arise, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions

  • Lead and support data migration projects, modernising legacy systems through cloud-based technologies

  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver effective, data-driven solutions

  • Continuously improve internal tools and processes to streamline data operations

Your Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer with strong data architecture knowledge

  • Proficient in Python or SQL, with the ability to transform and analyze complex datasets

  • Solid experience with Kafka for stream processing and AWS (especially Redshift and S3)

  • Skilled in implementing testing strategies to ensure consistent data quality

  • Familiar with version control systems like Git and experienced in collaborative, agile environments

  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks while contributing to a team-oriented culture
