We are supporting a public sector organisation delivering large-scale sustainability and housing programmes across London and are seeking an experienced Portfolio Reporting & Project Assurance Manager to establish and mature a PMO function within a growing delivery environment.

This is a key role focused on developing governance frameworks, portfolio reporting, project assurance processes and project management standards across a complex portfolio of programmes. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and technical partners to improve visibility, accountability and decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and develop PMO governance, assurance and reporting frameworks.
  • Design and implement project and portfolio management standards, processes and controls.
  • Develop portfolio-level reporting, dashboards, KPIs and management information for senior leadership.
  • Create and maintain governance forums, stage gate processes, RAID management and change control procedures.
  • Lead project and programme assurance activities, identifying delivery risks and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop business cases, options appraisals and recommendations to support investment decisions.
  • Support the selection, procurement and implementation of project portfolio management tooling.
  • Embed a culture of project management best practice across delivery teams.
  • Provide portfolio oversight across multiple programmes, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives.
  • Work with technical teams to translate business requirements into reporting, governance and delivery improvements.
  • Support resource planning, prioritisation and portfolio decision-making activities.
