The Company
This market-leading real estate investment business is a major player across the UK and Europe, managing a high-value portfolio of logistics and industrial assets. With a strong focus on leasing, operational efficiency, and long-term asset performance, data is at the heart of how they optimise their portfolio. As they continue to scale, they are investing heavily in modern data platforms (Databricks + Microsoft Fabric) to unlock deeper insight across leasing, asset performance, and financial reporting.
The Role
They are looking for a Data Modeller to play a critical role in transforming a currently fragmented and complex data landscape into a scalable, structured, and reusable data foundation. This is a highly business-facing role, ideal for someone who understands real estate or property data and can translate that into clear, structured data models. You will define and implement logical and physical data models, helping to create a standardised "cookie-cutter" modelling approach that can be reused across multiple use cases, from core financial reporting to operational leasing insights. A key part of the role will involve working with complex, legacy datasets and bringing structure and consistency, ensuring data is properly categorised (for example leasing costs and asset-level data) and usable across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Create a standardised and reusable modelling framework across the business
- Translate real estate and leasing business requirements into structured data models
- Work closely with data engineers to enable scalable implementation
- Partner with stakeholders to define how data should be modelled and consumed
- Support use cases across financial reporting, leasing analysis, and asset performance
- Bring clarity and structure to legacy and complex datasets
- Contribute to building a centralised data modelling function
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in data modelling (logical and physical)
- Proven ability to work with complex or legacy datasets
- Strong SQL-based modelling experience
- Experience working in Azure environments (Databricks and Fabric preferred)
- Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience creating reusable, scalable data models
Desirable
- Background in real estate, property, or other asset-heavy industries
- Experience working with leasing data, asset management, or property portfolios
- Understanding of financial data in a real estate context
Why Apply
- Work with a high-profile real estate investment business
- Play a key role in shaping a modern, centralised data function
- Influence how data is structured across a large-scale asset portfolio
- Join a highly collaborative and communicative team
- Opportunity to leave a lasting impact through reusable data architecture
