DATA ENGINEER
Up to £70,000 + Benefits
London (Hybrid)This is a great opportunity to join a high-growth FinTech where you can take ownership of the data infrastructure and decisioning systems that power a live lending platform. THE COMPANY:Thisis a fast-growing FinTech lender entering an exciting growth phase, supported by new funding. Rather than relying solely on traditional credit scoring, the business uses a broader range of financial and income data to provide a more personalised lending experience. THE ROLE:You will take ownership of the infrastructure, pipelines and production processes that support the company's credit decisioning platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, building and maintaining production data pipelines across the lending lifecycle
- Developing, deploying and maintaining AWS Lambda-based decisioning processes
- Building and improving ETL/ELT workflows that support analytics, reporting and credit decisions
- Managing APIs and data integrations across internal and external data sources
- Improving monitoring, reliability, testing, documentation and production controls
This is a unique opportunity to become a foundational engineering hire within a small, ambitious team where you will have genuine ownership and visibility across the business. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:You will bring strong capability in:
- Python development
- AWS services including Lambda, EC2, CloudWatch and RDS
- SQL and database development, ideally with PostgreSQL
- Building, deploying and maintaining end-to-end production pipelines
- API development, integration and monitoring within live environments
- Experience within Lending, FinTech, Banking or Financial Services
