The Role
You will lead a centralised Analytics and MI function that supports multiple business areas, operating as an internal consultancy. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high performing analytics team, including managers and analysts, with a strong focus on commercial impact.
- Driving the shift from descriptive reporting to actionable, insight-led analytics that influences senior decision making.
- Embedding AI and advanced analytics tools into day-to-day workflows to improve speed, quality and scalability of insight.
- Overseeing scalable data and reporting infrastructure, including automated reporting and governed gold layer datasets.
- Line managing a Decision Engine Manager and overseeing the migration to a new decisioning platform.
- Managing and prioritising a shared analytics workstack across finance, marketing and executive stakeholders.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will bring:
- Strong leadership experience within analytics or MI in a complex commercial environment.
- A proven ability to translate data into clear, actionable business recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on technical capability using SQL, with Python experience preferred.
- Experience working with modern data stacks such as Snowflake and Power BI or similar tools.
- Practical experience applying AI tools within analytics, with a clear understanding of benefits, limitations and governance.
- Confidence operating in fast-moving environments where structure is evolving.
