Job Description

Digital Implementation Engineer (Contract)Leading Travel BrandLondon – Hybrid£500-£600 per day Inside IR35

  1. DataLayer Design: Architect, document, and implement tailored dataLayer structures to support comprehensive event tracking and scalable measurement frameworks.

  2. Technical Specification & QA: Draft clear technical documentation for developers, validate tracking implementations, and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and enhance accuracy.

  3. GA4 Deployment: Oversee the setup and configuration of Google Analytics 4 across web and mobile, ensuring reliable and complete data collection throughout the booking experience.

  4. GTM Engineering: Develop and maintain structured tag management solutions in Google Tag Manager to enable efficient deployment of analytics and marketing tools.

  5. Collaboration: Work closely with front-end engineers, UX designers, and analysts to embed tracking logic into user-facing features and align with key business metrics.

  6. Post-Implementation Support: Continuously monitor data quality, resolve tracking issues, and refine setups in response to shifting business and technical requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in technical digital analytics or implementation engineering, with strong expertise in GA4 and GTM
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, tag templates, and debugging tools like GA Debugger, Tag Assistant, or Chrome DevTools
  • Deep understanding of dataLayer architecture, schema design, and event-driven tracking
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes, version control, and collaborative workflows with developers
