Contract CRO Consultant London/Surrey, Outside IR35, Β£300-450 Day Rate, 1x a week on site, 3 month contract.

This is a high-impact contract opportunity to step into a small, fast-moving services team at a critical moment. You will play a key role in stabilising and elevating client delivery, bringing fresh thinking, strong experimentation capability, and the confidence to challenge the status quo.

The Company

They are a SaaS-led organisation with an established optimisation and experimentation services function supporting a broad range of digital clients. The services team works closely with client-side technology teams to design, deliver, and analyse experimentation programmes. With recent team changes, they are looking to bring in an experienced contractor to maintain momentum and raise the bar on quality and delivery.

The Role and Deliverables

  • Owning CRO and experimentation roadmaps across a portfolio of clients.
  • Leading ideation and hypothesis generation to drive meaningful test pipelines.
  • Producing clear test plans and documentation for development and QA teams.
  • Analysing test results and creating insight-led reports and recommendations.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and client teams through weekly touchpoints.
  • Supporting quarterly in-person client sessions when required during the contract.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience delivering conversion rate optimisation and experimentation programmes.
  • Confidence in owning ideation, hypothesis writing, and experimentation strategy end-to-end.
  • Proven ability to translate data and test outcomes into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing and personalisation platforms such as VWO or similar.
  • Comfortable working with Jira-based workflows and structured documentation.
  • A proactive, driven mindset with the ability to challenge existing ways of working.
