Business Intelligence & Visualisation Lead
Contract: 12-month maternity cover
Location: London / Hybrid Working - 1/2x a month in office
Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits
I'm currently representing a leading UK organisation that is looking for a Business Intelligence & Visualisation Lead to join its Data & Analytics function on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This is a hands-on BI role where you'll take ownership of the organisation's reporting and visualisation capability, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate, user-friendly insights that support business decision-making.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports
Building and supporting self-service analytics capabilities
Writing strong DAX and SQL to develop reporting, views and semantic layers
Working with Azure Databricks to support BI and reporting workloads
Maintaining and stabilising existing analytical assets
Ensuring data quality, accuracy and consistency across reporting
Working within an Agile / sprint-based environment , managing your own workload against a prioritised roadmap
Working closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective reporting solutions
Presenting insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Supporting data governance, GDPR compliance and documentation standards
Exploring opportunities to embed AI-assisted analytics into reporting workflows
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong professional experience within BI, data analytics or reporting
Hands-on Power BI development experience
Strong SQL skills
Experience working with Azure Databricks
Experience building views and/or semantic layers to support BI reporting
Experience translating business requirements into clear reporting solutions
