Rather than maintaining existing credit processes, you will have the autonomy to identify, build, and deliver initiatives that create meaningful commercial impact and enhance customer outcomes.

THE ROLE
As a Senior Credit Risk Manager, you will take ownership of high-impact initiatives from concept through to delivery and measurable business outcomes.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Identifying and delivering new lending, credit, and customer growth initiatives
- Developing new customer segments, lending propositions, and distribution opportunities
- Exploring cross-sell, retention, and customer value enhancement strategies
- Building and implementing innovative credit capabilities and lending strategies
- Assessing commercial opportunities and developing robust business cases
- Using data to evaluate performance, guide decision-making, and quantify impact
- Working closely with Credit Risk, Product, Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams
- Managing initiatives through strategy, execution, launch, and operational handover
- Influencing stakeholders across the business and driving adoption of new approaches
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Senior Credit Risk Manager will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong commercial experience within Credit Risk, Lending, or a related analytical function
- Experience working in a fintech, consumer lending, or fast-paced financial services environment
- Advanced SQL skills and confidence working directly with data
- Python experience is advantageous
- Ability to develop and deliver new ideas rather than solely managing existing processes
- Strong understanding of credit strategy, lending decisioning, pricing, and risk management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- A proactive, ownership-oriented approach with the ability to lead initiatives independently
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on individual contributor role
