Compensation

Rate: £15.20 per hour PAYE – flat rate for days and nights, Monday to Sunday, including holiday pay.

Shift Pattern

Shift Pattern: Nights: 19:30 – 07:30 / 20:30 - 08:30 7 days a week.

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated and experienced Female Healthcare Assistant to join our complex care team, supporting a 10 year old girl in her family home. She lives at home with her mother, father, older sister and pet car. She is generally a cheerful child who loves listening to music and swimming. Her profound needs mean that she needs significant adaptations and is dependant on those around her to support her medical needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the child's clinical, personal and emotional needs, while promoting comfort, dignity and wellbeing within a child-centred environment.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Childcare experience (SEN experience is welcome)
  • Makaton experience
  • Nebulisation
  • PEG / JEJ feeding
  • Medication administration
  • Seizure mangament
  • Manual handling and use of hoists
  • Chest physio
  • Seizure management
  • Child-Centred Care: The child enjoys purple, Mini Cooper cars and Disney, especially The Lion King. A consistent, calm and compassionate approach is essential.

Important Information

Driver needed for this role due to location. Client location is not well lit in the evening and do not wish for people to walk to address in such a dark area. Suggests all supporting staff must drive to give them a sense of reassurance.

  • £150 for every Healthcare Assistant you refer
  • £250 for every Registered Nurse you refer Paid once your referral completes 150 hours.
