Caucasian Complex Care Assistant required for Day & Night Shifts.
Location: SG9 0PQ, Buntingford (between Stevenage and Stansted Airport).
MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE.
Package: 168 hours per week.
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (8am–8pm for days / 8pm–8am for nights).
Positions Available: 2 roles – 1 Day Carer and 1 Night Carer.

About the Role:
We are looking for carers to join a 168-hour care package supporting a male client with a spinal cord injury. Due to the nature of personal care involved, this position requires a female carer (genuine occupational requirement). You will work either day or night shifts on a regular pattern, providing consistent and reliable support. This is a rewarding role for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and confident working 1:1.
Requirements:
- Must be a driver due to the location.
- Must be comfortable with large dogs (2 great Danes in the property).
- No smokers including vapes.
- Spinal experience is essential.
- Personality fit is very important for this client. The service user wants carers who have a good sense of humour, can build a strong rapport, and are reliable, engaged, and alert on duty.
There is zero tolerance for staff sleeping or being inattentive during shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide full personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and skin care.
- Support with manual handling and use of equipment (hoists, etc.).
- Assist with daily routines and activities.
- Monitor health, comfort, and safety throughout the shift.
- Support with light domestic tasks as required.
- Night staff: ensure client safety, repositioning, and responding as needed.
- Day staff: support with daily living, routines, and community access (if applicable).
