We have an opportunity for an Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team. This is a role for someone who is commercially sharp, detail-focused, and ready to take ownership of estimating across a wide range of fire protection systems.
The Role- Estimate different fire protection systems from supplied CAD drawings, specifications, or equivalent documentation.
- Assist in compiling tender submissions to a high standard and on time.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to gain competitive pricing.
- Coordinate workload and manage individual deadlines, holding colleagues accountable to agreed work programmes.
- Support the sales team to maximise sales efficiency and success.
- Travel to site to carry out surveys as required.
- Develop processes and procedures to improve customer experience and department efficiency.
- Communicate with staff, customers, and the public via email and telephone.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, calculation, and literacy skills.
- Good time management and the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Willingness to learn, act with integrity, and work as a team player.
- Confidence making outgoing calls to suppliers and clients.
- Full UK driving licence.
