You’ll carry out inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on lightning protection and earthing systems across a wide range of client sites — from commercial properties and industrial facilities to heritage and residential buildings. You’ll be trusted to ensure every system meets national and international standards, working to BS EN 62305 and Harmony’s uncompromising standards of quality and safety. This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires precision, professionalism, and a commitment to making every site safer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine inspections, testing, and maintenance on new and existing lightning protection and earthing systems
  • Perform physical tests and visual inspections in line with BS EN 62305 and other relevant standards
  • Identify and report faults, deterioration, and deficiencies, undertaking remedial work as required
  • Produce detailed technical reports using digital tools (e.g. PDA), recording findings, test results, and recommendations
  • Ensure all work is compliant, accurate, and completed to the highest safety standards
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers on-site, providing clear technical updates and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Strictly follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures, including RAMS, working at height, and electrical safety practices
  • Maintain company tools, test equipment, and vehicles to a professional standard
  • Travel regularly to client sites, which may include time away from home
  • Participate in ongoing technical, compliance, and safety training
  • Support the wider Service and Operations teams, ensuring communication and collaboration across departments
  • Uphold Harmony’s reputation for excellence and reliability on every visit

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in electrical or lightning protection systems
  • Comfortable working at height and in field-based environments
  • Excellent understanding of electrical safety and earthing principles
  • Knowledge of BS EN 62305 and associated testing standards
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Detail-driven with a do it right first time attitude
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues
  • Good IT literacy and familiarity with digital reporting tools
