We now have an opportunity for a Consultancy Project Manager to join our growing consultancy division, based full-time at our Liverpool Street office.
Key Aspects of the Role- Take overall responsibility for the coordination and delivery of all active consultancy projects, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Take full ownership of the consultancy's project management software, ensuring it is maintained, utilised effectively, and producing accurate departmental performance data.
- Oversee project lifecycles from initiation through to completion, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies and implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.
- Manage and schedule consultancy resources across all active projects, ensuring optimal utilisation based on capacity, skills, and project requirements.
- Balance competing priorities and resolve resource conflicts effectively, working closely with consultants to monitor workload and maintain productivity.
- Ensure all consultants remain on track with their key deliverables, intervening where performance deviates from the plan and supporting the removal of blockers.
- Deliver structured tri-weekly reporting to the consultancy management team (Monday morning briefing, mid-week, and end-of-week report), covering project status, risks, resource allocation, and key achievements.
- Escalate critical issues promptly and provide clear recommendations for resolution.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve project delivery processes, reporting frameworks, and resource management tools.
- Proven experience in project or programme management within a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing grip on the detail.
- Experience in resource planning and utilisation management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver clear, consistent reporting to senior audiences.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, or similar).
- Highly proactive with a solution-focused mindset and strong problem-solving instincts.
- Commercially aware, with a focus on delivering genuine value to the consultancy function.
