The Role As our Director of Fire Engineering, you will take the lead in all aspects of fire safety management from developing strategies to consulting with clients to reduce fire risk for social housing clients. Combining innovation and regulatory expertise, you will guide clients on fire risk management, assess risk and advise on mitigation strategies that deliver safety and compliance. You will ensure clients remain informed and confident in our solutions, understanding all the steps of the process throughout each project. You will also manage a team of fire engineers, support the Pre-Construction team, and serve as a technical advisor to clients, overseeing high-quality delivery from initial consultancy to project completion. You will also develop fire engineering strategies and drive development in safety solutions, always focusing on compliance with fire safety regulations. Additionally, you will: – Act as a thought leader, driving best practice and setting the standard – Manage a variety of complex projects, ensuring high quality service and on-time delivery – Mentor and onboard fire engineering consultants and SMEs – Network to generate business leads and secure speaking engagements – Ensure all fire strategies align with UK regulations – Deliver clear, high-quality reports to clients and internal teams About You To be considered as our Director of Fire Engineering, you will need: – Strong experience within the fire engineering field – Experience in fire safety consultancy – To be a visionary and influential leader with team management experience – A reputation for industry leadership, innovation and strategic thinking – Technical knowledge and client-facing expertise – A track record of making a significant impact within the industry – The ability to lead projects whilst inspiring teams – Knowledge of UK fire safety regulations, codes and standards (BS 9999, BS 7974, etc.) Other organisations may call this role Head of Fire Safety Consultancy, Head of Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering Lead, Head of Fire Risk Management, Lead Fire Safety Engineer, or Head of Fire Strategy and Compliance.
