Harmony is on a mission to be the best life safety partner to work with and for. Rated an ‘Outstanding Employer’ by Best Companies in 2025, we are only getting bigger and stronger — and we’re looking for A-players to help us get there. We are passionate about making a difference and obsessed with quality. Our goal is to build a world where every resident can sleep safely at night, knowing their home is 100% safe.
We are looking for a Height Safety Supervisor to lead our height safety field teams, taking ownership of the quality, safety, and delivery of planned and reactive height safety works across our client portfolio. As Height Safety Supervisor you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a team of Height Safety Engineers in the field. You will oversee the planning and execution of height safety inspections, installations, and reactive works, ensuring all activity is completed safely, compliantly, and to the standard our clients expect.
This is more than a supervisory role. It is about bringing the right energy, accountability and resilience to our mission of saving lives through fire and height safety — and setting the standard for everyone in your team.
Key Aspects of the Role- Lead and supervise a team of Height Safety Engineers on planned and reactive works.
- Carry out and oversee inspections, installations, and maintenance of height safety systems including horizontal lifelines, anchor points, and fall arrest equipment.
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with relevant standards, RAMS, and Harmony’s health and safety requirements.
- Conduct site quality audits and checks, identifying and resolving non-conformances.
- Act as the key point of escalation and technical reference for engineers on site, providing guidance and making sure method statements and risk assessments are followed correctly on every job.
- Support the scheduling team with workload planning, site logistics, and remedial booking.
- Assist with the preparation of quotations, asset registers, and service records.
- Support the training, development, and performance of team members.
- Participate in the out-of-hours emergency callout rota as required.
- Liaise with project managers and clients professionally and proactively.
- An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly, the first time.
- Proven experience in height safety installation, inspection, or maintenance, with previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of height safety systems including horizontal lifelines, anchor points, rope access, and fall arrest equipment.
- Relevant height safety qualifications such as IRATA, IPAF, or equivalent.
- PASMA and working at height certification.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage a team and engage confidently with clients.
- Good time management with the ability to plan and prioritise across multiple works.
- A background in broader mechanical or electrical engineering or fire protection services (preferable).
