Harmony is on a mission to be the best life safety partner to work with and for. Rated an ‘Outstanding Employer’ by Best Companies in 2025, we are one of the UK’s fastest-growing life safety contractors, delivering fire alarm, emergency lighting, sprinkler and electrical fire safety systems across residential, social housing, commercial and public sector buildings. Our M&E division is expanding rapidly as demand for compliant, high-quality electrical fire safety work continues to grow.

We are now looking for an Electrical Project Manager to take ownership of electrical fire safety projects across the South of England, leading delivery from pre-start through to completion and final sign-off. You will manage the full project lifecycle for electrical fire safety installations — including fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and associated electrical works — running pre-start meetings, managing site-based teams and subcontractors, controlling programme and budget and ensuring every project is delivered to Harmony’s quality and compliance standards.

You will be the main point of contact for clients on your projects, managing relationships, communicating progress and dealing with any issues before they become problems. You will also work closely with our pre-construction, procurement and service teams to ensure smooth handovers in both directions. This is a field-based role with regular travel across the South of England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of electrical fire safety projects across the South of England, leading delivery from pre-start through to completion and final sign-off.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle for fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and associated electrical works.
  • Run pre-start meetings, manage site-based teams and subcontractors and hold them to programme and quality.
  • Control programme and budget across every project, identifying variations and protecting margin.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients on your projects — managing relationships, communicating progress and dealing with issues before they become problems.
  • Ensure every project is delivered to Harmony’s quality and compliance standards (BS5839, BS5266 and relevant electrical installation standards).
  • Work closely with pre-construction, procurement and service teams to ensure smooth handovers in both directions.
  • Travel regularly across the South of England as a field-based PM.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly, the first time.
  • Proven experience managing electrical projects in a fire safety, building services or specialist M&E environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of BS5839, BS5266 and relevant electrical installation standards.
  • Confident running sites, managing teams and holding subcontractors to programme and quality.
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing project budgets and identifying variations.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications, 18th Edition wiring regulations as a minimum.
  • SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • A natural communicator who can manage client relationships and keep multiple projects moving at once.
  • Full UK driving licence.
