Department: Building Fabric - Delivery

Location: Birmingham

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a team of Site Supervisors across multiple live Building Fabric projects in the Dudley / West Midlands pod.
  • Coach, develop and hold accountable the supervisors reporting to you — setting clear standards and making sure they’re met on every site.
  • Drive consistency in quality, programme and safety across all projects in the pod, intervening early when standards slip.
  • Carry out site quality audits and inspections, identifying non-conformances and making sure they are resolved at root cause, not papered over.
  • Ensure all Building Fabric works are delivered to Harmony standards and the relevant industry codes (passive fire protection, fire stopping, fire doors and associated works).
  • Support Project Managers with site set-up, mobilisation, stock management, pre-condition surveys and final sign-off across projects.
  • Spot and flag variation opportunities to the Project Manager early, protecting margin and programme.
  • Be the senior site presence for clients across the West Midlands — attending pre-start meetings, walking sites with clients and consultants, and representing Harmony’s brand on every visit.
  • Implement and police Harmony’s H&S policy across every site in the pod, leading toolbox talks, RAMS reviews and safety audits.
  • Coach the next generation of supervisors — training, mentoring and supporting their progression within the business.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly, the first time.
  • Proven experience in a senior site supervisory, site manager or working foreman role within passive fire protection, building fabric, fire stopping or a closely related specialist discipline.
  • Hands‑on background in Building Fabric — passive fire protection, fire stopping, fire doors and associated works — with the credibility to challenge supervisors and trades on technical detail.
  • Experience leading or coaching other supervisors, not just running your own site.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant standards, RAMS and site H&S requirements.
  • SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold card and First Aid at Work (or willing to obtain).
  • Excellent communicator, able to manage clients, consultants and subcontractors with confidence and clarity.
  • A strong problem solver who sees things through to completion at root cause.
  • Based within commutable distance of our Dudley office, with regular site presence required across the West Midlands region.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Benefits

This is a chance to step up and shape how Harmony’s newest regional pod delivers — leading the supervisor team that sets the standard across every live West Midlands site, working directly with the Project Director and Project Managers as the pod takes shape. At Harmony, we ask a lot — and we give a lot back. The hours are real, the standards are high and the work is demanding, but for those who show up, deliver and go the extra mile, the rewards follow. A‑players here enjoy a competitive salary, a company vehicle, private medical insurance, a Personal Development Plan with ongoing training and leadership mentoring, unlimited holiday, a bonus scheme paying up to 50% of annual salary, enhanced maternity and paternity, catered lunch every day at the office (fresh fruit and Takeaway Friday included), a team social budget, cycle to work, an auto‑enrolment pension, two major company events a year and our Reward and Recognition scheme — including European mini‑breaks for those who go above and beyond. It is a collaborative, high‑energy environment focused on doing things the right way — technically, practically and safely — and none of it is a perk for showing up; it’s what we share with the people pulling the business forward.
