Harmony is on a mission to be the best life safety partner to work with and for. Rated an ‘Outstanding Employer’ by Best Companies in 2025, we are one of the UK’s fastest-growing life safety contractors, delivering passive fire protection, building fabric, height safety and fire door services across residential, social housing, commercial and public sector buildings nationwide.

We are now looking for a Height Safety Supervisor to lead our height safety field teams, taking ownership of the quality, safety and delivery of planned and reactive height safety works across our client portfolio. You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a team of Height Safety Engineers in the field — overseeing the planning and execution of inspections, installations and reactive works, and ensuring all activity is completed safely, compliantly and to the standard our clients expect.

You will act as the key point of escalation for your team on site, providing technical guidance, conducting quality checks and making sure method statements and risk assessments are followed correctly on every job. Working closely with the service admin and scheduling teams, you will help coordinate workloads, support the booking of remedial works and contribute to quoting and asset register updates where required. You will also play an active role in the development of your engineers, supporting their training and progression within the business. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel to client sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of Height Safety Engineers on planned and reactive works.
  • Carry out and oversee inspections, installations and maintenance of height safety systems including horizontal lifelines, anchor points and fall arrest equipment.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with relevant standards, RAMS and Harmony’s health and safety requirements.
  • Conduct site quality audits and checks, identifying and resolving non-conformances.
  • Support the scheduling team with workload planning, site logistics and remedial booking.
  • Assist with the preparation of quotations, asset registers and service records.
  • Act as a technical point of reference for engineers on site.
  • Support the training, development and performance of team members.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency callout rota as required.
  • Liaise with project managers and clients professionally and proactively.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly, the first time.
  • Proven experience in height safety installation, inspection or maintenance, with previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of height safety systems including horizontal lifelines, anchor points, rope access and fall arrest equipment.
  • Relevant height safety qualifications such as IRATA, IPAF or equivalent.
  • PASMA and working at height certification.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage a team and engage confidently with clients.
  • Good time management with the ability to plan and prioritise across multiple works.
  • A background in broader mechanical or electrical engineering or fire protection services would be an advantage.
  • Full UK driving licence.
