Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing of residential sprinkler systems in line with BS 9251 and relevant standards.
- Inspect, test, and commission residential sprinkler installations, producing accurate and fully compliant service records and certification after every visit.
- Diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently, minimising downtime and keeping clients and residents informed throughout.
- Identify defects, remedial requirements, and upgrade opportunities, reporting findings clearly to the Service team.
- Maintain your van stock, tools, and test equipment to the required standard at all times.
- Liaise with clients, building managers, and residents professionally on site, representing Harmony’s brand with confidence.
- Complete all job management system entries accurately and on time, including time logging, parts usage, and certification records.
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with Harmony’s H&S requirements and relevant site-specific rules.
- Participate in the out-of-hours emergency callout rota as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly, the first time.
- Proven hands-on experience servicing and maintaining residential sprinkler systems, with strong working knowledge of BS 9251.
- Experience carrying out inspections, testing, and commissioning of sprinkler installations and producing compliant service records.
- Sound fault-finding and diagnostic skills across residential sprinkler systems.
- Comfortable working independently across a regional patch, managing your own diary and travel schedule.
- Strong attention to detail — accurate and thorough in service documentation and certification.
- Professional and clear communicator — comfortable engaging with clients, building managers, and residents on site.
- Full UK driving licence.
- FIA, LPCB, or equivalent sprinkler industry qualification (preferable).
